Who we hire

Over 60 technical staff work for SAAJTECH, across welding, lamination, plant operation, supervision, engineering and administration. We employ our crews rather than sub-letting them, which is the reason we can stand behind a programme — and the reason we are particular about who joins.

We recruit continuously for the trades below, and intermittently for engineering and commercial roles. If your discipline is not listed, send the CV anyway and say what you do.

Trades

• HDPE and thermoplastic welders — butt fusion, electrofusion, extrusion and hot-gas
• Pipefitters and steel welders working to approved WPS
• GRP, FRP and CFRP laminators
• Plant operators — excavator, backhoe loader, vibro hammer, dewatering sets
• Riggers, scaffolders and general site crew

Staff roles

• Project and site engineers — mechanical, civil and piping
• QA / QC engineers and welding inspectors
• HSE officers with confined space and permit experience
• Quantity surveyors and estimators
• Procurement, accounts and administration

What we expect

• Certification that can be verified. Trade certificates, third-party welder qualifications and operator licences are checked, not taken on trust.
• Permit discipline. A large share of the work is confined space, hot work or live-plant entry. The rules are not negotiable and the crews who last here treat them that way.
• Willingness to work a shutdown. Turnarounds run to a fixed window, which sometimes means nights and weekends.
• English sufficient for a toolbox talk and a permit.
