Bore well and pump solutions
Bore holes, submersible installation and the pump sizing that decides whether the system runs for ten years or ten months.
A bore well is a long-term asset with a short-term failure mode. Most of the problems we are called to fix are not drilling problems — they are pump selection problems, where a unit was chosen on flow alone and is now cavitating, cycling or drawing the well down faster than it recharges.
Scope
- Bore hole construction, casing and screen installation
- Development and yield testing before the pump is sized
- Submersible pump selection, installation and commissioning
- Control panels, level protection and dry-run cut-out
- Rising mains, headworks and discharge connection
- Maintenance, overhaul and abstraction monitoring
Sizing follows the well, not the catalogue
Yield testing comes before pump selection. The duty point has to sit inside the pump’s efficient range at the actual drawdown the well produces, not the drawdown that was assumed. Getting this wrong is what turns a fifteen-year asset into an annual replacement.
Related capability
The same pumps, controls and abstraction experience support our dewatering work, where deep well systems are bore wells installed for a temporary purpose. Equipment is available on hire.
