Desalination & RO

Desalination and RO plant services

Two shifts inside operating desalination plant since 2011 — through a change of operator and without a break in the work.

The company started here. In 2011 we took on reverse osmosis maintenance at Al Dur, working two shifts, and we have held a continuous presence on operating desalination plant ever since — including through the change of operator in 2021. Everything else the company does grew outward from that work.

Why desalination is a discipline of its own

Seawater is aggressive, the plant runs at pressure, and the product is not optional. A water plant cannot stop while a contractor works out how to proceed. That imposes a specific way of working: permits are routine, isolation verification is formal, and crews expect to be stood down and restarted at the operator’s convenience rather than their own.

Scope

  • RO membrane replacement and element handling
  • Pressure vessel opening, inspection, repair and reassembly
  • High pressure pump and energy recovery device support
  • Seawater intake and discharge piping in GRP, HDPE and duplex
  • Valve replacement on seawater and brine service
  • Chemical dosing system maintenance and thermoplastic pipework
  • Cartridge filter and pretreatment system work

Materials across a desalination plant

A single plant uses most of what we do. Intake and outfall in GRP, cooling and transfer in HDPE, high pressure in duplex, dosing in PVDF and PP, and civil structures that need repair in a marine environment. Holding all of those is the reason we can take a whole outage rather than a slice of one.

Safety: zero lost time injuries over the last five years, across a workforce that spends most of its hours inside operating industrial plant. HSE performance records available for prequalification review.

Common questions

What clients ask before awarding

How long have you worked on desalination plant?
Since 2011, continuously, on a two-shift basis at Al Dur — including through the change of operator in 2021. Reverse osmosis maintenance was the company’s original business.
Can you take a full outage scope?
Yes. A desalination plant uses GRP, HDPE, duplex, thermoplastics and reinforced concrete, and we hold all of those capabilities in-house. That is what allows us to take a whole outage rather than one trade within it.
Are your crews inducted to the major plants?
Yes, to most major industrial sites in Bahrain. Confined space entry, gas testing, permit systems and isolation verification are routine for these crews rather than exceptional.
What is your safety record?
Zero lost time injuries over the last five years. Full HSE performance records are available for review as part of prequalification.
